They become available at the same time when your results slip is posted out... Which is usually about mid January. Once every result is compiled etc and your slip is sent out (i.e officially released) your results become available under your learner login.... Its the same as whats on the slip.

I dunno either - its unnerving ><
Their Twitter account - http://twitter.com/#!/nceaexams - has been dormant since the 13th of January last year, which says results will be available on the 14th (this was last year).
Based on that, there are two things I can draw from this:
1) The Twitter account mustn't have been very successful.
2) In the next week and a bit, we should start seein' some results ^^

I thought they said that this year for the first time, the results would be available online before they get sent out? When all the results are done, the release them online, then they have to print them out and send them which would take a heap of time. They should be out in the next 2 weeks though.

I was on holz when they arrived, they arrived home the day before I was due to leave. Stressed and told rents. not to open it but of course they did. Hopefully I'll know this year before everyone else does. xDD

GOOD LUCK EVERYONE :D:D

This is what the NCEA website says:

Look online for exam results
Secondary students who sat NCEA examinations should look online for their results in January.

For the first time, results will be available to students online before hard-copy results are delivered by mail in the first half of January.

More than 143,000 candidates were enrolled for this year's NCEA exams, held from November 15 to December 1, 2010.

A media release will be issued when results are online (approximately seven days prior to mailed out results). In previous years, students have received their hard-copy results at the same time as online results were made available.

I am looking forward to my results this year. What subjects did everyone take? I took Level 3 Calculus, Physics, Statistics and Modelling and English. Calculus was a huge flop (only attempted one and A in an extreme fluke), Physics was a reasonable success (A/M), Statistics and Modelling was fairly amazing (M/E) and English should be great (M/E).

I took L2 Lang&Lit. , maths, science, graphics and computing. Sat externals for lang&lit, maths and science and graphics work was sent away for external marking and gets my credits doubled there.

Next year I requested Lang&lit (I'll be like, one of 20 people in year 13 to be taking it, everyone thinks its a waste of time), maths with statistics, graphics, digital design and geography.

Students' results out next week

Mike Dinsdale | 7th January 2011

More than 5300 Northland secondary school students will find out next week how they did in their end of year exams.

The New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA) said almost 144,000 students nationally sat National Certificate of Educational Achievement (NCEA) towards the end of last year.

In Northland 5320 students sat the exams, with 2820 sitting NCEA level 1, 2017 level 2 and 1143 level 3.

Some Northland students sat NCEA exams in different levels.

The largest number of students in Northland - 1874 - sat NCEA level 1 English, while the second largest total - 1860 - took NCEA level 1 maths.

A spokesman for NZQA said while previously exam results had been posted out and released on line at the same time in January, this year things were being done differently.

He said the results should be released on line next week, although the exact day won't be known until closer to the time.

The results would then be sent out a week later.
