Listened to one event... car chase, cop started chase, got upto 140k in light traffic following a bright coloured Holden...got told to cancel the chase. He was gutted...

Few mins later there was about 6 different cops looking for this Holden and they all saw it at one point or another but never actually managed to stop it.

I use to listen to the local North Shore cops via my Uniden scanner (which I bought new for $180, sold few years later for $240...go figure) - was interesting hearing what goes on in my neighbourhood ;)

Then friends would be ringing asking why Eagle was hovering around their area and/or why cops were running around like crazy.

I was hoping to hear stuff on the flooding in Brisbane on it ... I knew the Logan area in Brisbane was 'feral' but I never realised the Caboolture area was that way as well !

I thought there radio's would be encrypted.
