I bought an Uniden car alarm online and wanna get someone qualified to install it to my car.Does anyone here know someone or recommend me a qualified installer.I'm after an affordable one that's why i'm asking here.thank you

It would help if you would tell us where you are sir. I understand that if you go to cheap they do a half pie job on it.

i keep seeing this company advertised, they come to your home or work to install alarms, audio etc not sure if they are any good or cheap, if anyone knows could they post .

Try Installer Services. Not used them myself but an associate has had a number of products installed by them. I think they're in Ryan Pl, Manukau.

Are you wanting a reduction in your insurance premiums? If so, did you make sure you got the right rating of alarm, and you could ask your insurer if they have their own list of certified installers.

Got it done today in a workshop cost me $259 included the labour for an Uniden 4 star rating

  I would have thought that was reasonable.  Depending on how advanced the model is, there's actually a fair bit of work to install one of these + tracking down the required info for each different make/model of car.

Decent installs cost.

Crap installs will have your car gone in no time, an accessable siren to they just smash it or pry it off and leave it behind etc.

Bit late for the OP, but for anyone else looking - I had mine installed by 'Shu' at Maximum Sound & Security. Awesome workmanship, and mobile in the Auckland area.
