Italian authorities have fined Apple 900k euros for selling applecare warranties but not informing customers they were already covered for 2 years under Italian Consumer law .
Isn't this similar to NZ? Except, under the NZ CGA you are potentially covered for much longer. Salespeople constantly try to on sell warranty extensions, but, not once have I been told that I'm covered by the CGA.
Good on Italy for sticking up for consumer rights.
