Hmm a little sad now.

I used to work at Tory street for a few years. I saw Blanket Man every day, he was always there. Sometimes on the way to work he was already up and smoking a can, making me jealous of having to sit in an office for hours. Always nodding and smiling to passers by, proving that if you really want to you can live an alternative life.

I hope he found his peace.

If you don't know Ben Hana, he was Wellington's Blanket Man.

I used to walk past him each day when I worked in central wellington, remember the odd time when someone gave him a small stereo and pretty much half of courtenay place could hear him blasting The Rock FM (bless him), I guess the ipod followed later but I did see some dodgy folk like glue-sniffers hanging out with him too.

RIP Blanketman, hope you found peace brother

It didn't take long for someone to create "I love Blanket Man RIP " tshirts - $30 each, $10 to City Mission.

Not cool, man.

Killing your mate while drunk driving, alcoholism, substance abuse, being homeless and would flop out his john and make rude remarks to women...

Sounds like a loser tbh.

Sometimes I use big words I don't always fully understand in an effort to make myself sound more photosynthesis.
