Hello folks... Like conference badges, sometimes I also have here a few too many backpacks... Doing a clean up I've found a couple of bags I've never used and decided to give away here on Geekzone...

The HP Discover one is Ogio, the Microsoft TechEd 2011 is Targus. Both can safely carry laptop, accessories, etc. The Ogio has a media player pocket on top with a special rubber ring protecting a hole you can use to pass your headphone cord through.

To enter just reply in this thread with why you need a new backpack. If you post a picture of your existing backpack (or laptop transport method) you get double points!

Only one entry per user, previously banned users need not apply, will draw these on Thursday 30th March and send a PM to arrange delivery. New Zealand only, to keep postage costs down, sorry.

Good luck!

cool giveaway. Went to microsoft windows phone dev workshop a couple weeks ago. was dragging large laptop a long distance in the hot sun to get there in my standard satchel. End result is aching body. backpack would be cool and most appropriately more ideal.

My Slate gets carted around in my CAT bag. Not much padding there and only a single pocket, no fancy stuff. Be nice to get an upgrade, but good luck to everyone who enters!

Great, I could do with a new bag for my laptop, they bag I have is 3rd hand, the hand strap has worn out and is only a metal band, the oversholder strap is long gone, the bag itself is a horribile dirty cream colour and shown every single colour, to top it off a cup of coffee got spilt on it and even though it was washed the coffee stains still show, so I really need a new laptop bag!!

I could do with a new bag because some doosh put my bag into the chilly with the snapper after fishing, now it smells top notch

A poor computer science university student who can't afford to purchase a new bag after my last one got ripped and became totally useless. So my current method of transport has been my hands for a while now - unless it rains then a New World bad is employed for a short but necessary service of protection. Cool

So a bag would awesome!!! Laughing

Good luck to all, thanks to Mauricio for being as nice as always to help people out.

I have been using this backpack for the last three years and it is into it's second Diploma. I bought it from St Vincents for $5. The front pockets lining has ripped so everything disappears into the main pocket. One of the shoulder strap buckles is broken so is kept in place using a simple overhand knot. It has been a great bag but it is long overdue for replacement.

A new backpack would be great. I don't have an old one to take a picture of. I often go for bush walks and take my lunch in a plastic farmers bag which I hold by the handles as I walk through the bush. I get some funny looks from passers-by so a real backpack would be just the ticket!

I recently bought my wife a Macbook Pro, as she is currently under enforced bed rest. Once she can get up and around again she will very much appreciate something in which to carry around her pride and joy. Currently, she has nothing!

Terrible quality picture =(

Its a nice bag but I have a sneaking suspicion it will explode if I put anything more in it than my laptop and its huge charger.

My laptop bag is all mouldy from an extended stay in the car boot that had a bit of a leak to it.
