I am looking at my options for Wireless Broadband in Birkdale on the North Shore. this will require line of sight to one of their base stations. Does anyone know where these are located on the North shore?

Possibly this? Not sure what their idea of high speed is but it does say unlimited. Just hope they actually mean it.

Still doesn't tell me where their base stations are. Hopefully someone on the forums will know.

If you looked at the site you'll see Woosh are offering unlimited wireless broadband now so could well be a cheaper option for you. Compass wireless is quite expensive. I'd say you're not going to find base station locations so easily and would just be best to call up Compass for a pre qualification check.

Woosh had (have?) a site by the bus depot at the top of birkdale road. If you must go wireless I would expect that if they still run a site there they should be able to cover most of birkdale.

Woosh wireless coverage is patchy as all hell on the shore, so I'd be wary.

Also the 'Lead times may vary according to availabilty' message just above the plans makes me wonder too.
