US0 will be active on 998. (noticable on your specturm)

It seems to only be in howick for testing currently.

will i need to reconnect my line? it looks like the values are the same since install etc

You'll know when you get 30Mbps up. :)

Your line will drop in the middle of the night and it's supposed to automatically connect on the higher speeds. I don't have the rollout schedule but you may need to wait until November depending on the area.

i would has it a guess that you would notice a slight difference in speed test results and sync speeds.

You cant really.

the asus modem many people have does show specturms too.

Most likely, on an 8b profile, you will see an increase in Downstream, minor change in upstream and likely a snr drop.

on 17a, increase in downstream, Quite a jump in upstream, and looking the same

Chorus control profiles, through DLM. there is no control.

if you want a tip that YOU can do, get rid of that slingshot trash modem you have. Short of bridging it its typically horribly unreliable.

typically, i should have said Historically. I have not seen if recent firmware changes have improved it.

all really depends on what "fine" is too though.

Not bad, 3dB boost in Target SNR there is pretty clear.

the Drop in Upload, jump in download is Exactly as expected!

Over all the lines i have seen its looking like an average of 20~30mbit up on download, up to 2mbit drop on upload on 8b lines (remember there are extreme cases)

17a i havent seen enough to be 100% on the changes, seems to jump up to 20~30mbit up however. which would be about what ild expect.

for those on broadcom modems, you can telnet/ssh into your modem and there's a command like adsl/xdslcmd (netcomm, huawei) that takes parameter of info --linediag1 and will give you lots of stats.

so for hg659 you login

ATP> shell

busybox etc

$ xdslcmd info --linediag1

the question is how to go from that information to a pretty graph :)

if you think that's hard to read, try reading --SNR instead of --linediag1, no grouping at all...

so for hg659 you login

the question is how to go from that information to a pretty graph :)

if you think that's hard to read, try reading --SNR instead of --linediag1, no grouping at all...

Routerstat or DMT tools would probably do it.

eh, even on adsl DMT tools struggles. Routerstats looks far nicer.

if you can see the bitloading for US0(26.075 kHz to 137.825 kHz/ 6-31 bit tones.) even if in a table its pretty clear its 998.
