Hmh,
I am unfortunately stuck on VDSL @ 70mb/s and we have a Hammer hardware, new World, bar, 2 medical centers, Taco thing, Gift shop, Lots of homes, Bakery, 2 little cafe's that make coffee. Also there is a butcher, and a church.
Disgusts me that humans live like i do in this modern day.

Yes we have a church too, sorry missed it... and a couple of community halls, public toilet, did I mention a telephone exchange, rugby grounds with a hall and bar facility, playground, the school has a pool still too, many homes (including this one), some sheep, goats, and people...

NZtimbo: We simply cannot be compared with people and other communities on conklins as they are a substantially different offering...

How so? What makes your situation different to dozens of other localities on Conklins (some quite a bit bigger than you)?

NZtimbo: @michaelmurfy
You should have messaged me, I would certainly have made the time to meet and consume said coffee...

Interested as to why you didn't do your "First Hand" tests at peak time to experience the congestion we and others on the BUBA service suffer, as can be seen on the graph on Post 1 Page 1 the time it reads like your testing was when we do not suffer congestion so your speed was as I would expect at that time of day.  We simply cannot be compared with people and other communities on conklins as they are a substantially different offering, one that others have said Chorus are now paying the price for.  10 people is roughly 1% of the Outram population so your test results are generally considered below the margin of error, I've posted many graphs showing the congestion and degradation of service so why someone would dismiss our concerns with only 5 tests durring normal service is beyond me.

I do hope you wern't WarDriving to get your tests via open or default password wifi adapters.

Tim

Truth: There is no congestion else I would have seen it with the access points I've tried, a town suffering from true congestion will experience it 100% of the time and not during standard peak-time where services are expected to experience congestion. I sure could live of that sort of internet and sometimes do. People are getting their line speed at-least 95% of the time, since ADSL is a best effort service this is very acceptable.

And what white-hat hacker would I be if I wasn't wardriving? ;)

Now I think about it, Kirwee (in the other thread) has 10 times your population. Why should you get faster copper broadband ahead of them?

Don't come in here with your logic and reason. It's not family friendly.

@Handle9
Actually kirwee only had just over four times the population of Outram, not saying we should be first or second or wherever, the issue has been congestion and degradation of service, if kirwee suffer the same then more reason to join the voice for sorting this all out.   With both Labour and National both saying they will pump millions of extra money into rural broadband is a win for us all.  With this thread lasting so long and my "family friendly" saying used by others then I win.

With other things happening my petition has taken a back seat for a while but I / we have been heard and will get back into helping the community one things settle and I can plan a future again...

My thoughts are with Kirwee during this difficult time.
The degradation of service is unmatched anywhere else in the country.

I also wish them a safe and full recovery. The flag at my house is currently half-mast to remember the people of Kirwee.

Just to be clear NZTimbo I consider your family friendly rhetoric to be irrational bordering on farcical. I think that this thread has turned into a joke thread others feel the same.

Definitely not. It would be rude to not pay our respects to Kirwee, with their Internet problems.
