Hi guys. I live in Eden Terrace, which is central Auckland. Can you believe that no company can connet me to the local exchange, so I cant get a phone or internet?

Thats useless, my rates are paid and I expect to be able to be connected to ATLEAST a phone line. If the exchange is full, they either need to UPGRADE it (middle of auckland remember) or supply wifi hotspots (maybe telecom should expand their WIFI hotspots on their phoneboxes to include suburbs like mine) ,

Rant over, does anybody know a way around this, or an alternative. Im not really keen on getting a T-Stick or Woosh. Cheers

Maybe a body corp issue. Perhaps they haven't had enough line capacity run to the apartment.

Have investigated this issue and can advise the following:

  1. There is copper network at this address

  2. There are working services at this address

  3. Our pre-qualification tool (that RSPs use to check availability) shows that VDSL & ADSL services are available at this address but that MANUAL pre-qual confirmation required.

Point 3 may have been the source of the confusion.

There are three service requests in progress at this address with three different RSPs so the OP 's issue was likely a communication / understanding issue by the RSP sales team.

Have DM'd the OP to check that they have a service order in the works.
