I've posted before about the delays / issues in getting fibre service to my house at the end of a shared access way.

It's finally operational. Chorus did the site survey on Wednesday last week and the installers came around on Saturday morning (I was supposed to get an email, but that never happened) and did both the set up and the final install ("Makes sense to do them both at the same time, instead of come back on Tuesday" - yes, please).

I now have the wee blinking fibre box on the wall and the new H659b modem / router.

My main connection mode is wifi to one of the two routers (H659b and an ASUS N-66RT behind the H659b). My desktop connects to the ASUS router at 300mbps.

I've done some speedtests over the wifi. It's pretty good. Easily 5 times faster than it was with VDSL.

Here's a screenshot from just a moment ago (wifi to the ASUS at 300mbps - the ISP is Spark).
