I've just moved back to NZ and into an Apartment in central Wellington which already has UFB fibre installed. I signed up and have everything ready at home (Modem and UFB box on the wall etc). From my previous experiences of having a NBN fibre connection in Australia, it was Sign up and we had a connection the same day, they just flicked an attribute on the line and it was active.. however here it seems to be taking its sweet time... 5 days so far...

Does anyone have any ideas how long it takes for them to activate a connection when the hardware etc is already installed and has been previously used? Is there any magic to get the ISP or Chorus to speed up the process?

Apologies if this has already been asked, I assumed it would have been... but my search foo turned up nothing...
