Hello I'm using Skinny Networks Broadband Unlimited plan which is solely broadband without a landline. The connection is VDSL but I do not have a VDSL jackpoint in my house, I am using the ADSL filter that came with the modem to connect into the landline jackpoint.

My internet speeds are not great with around 14Mbps download and less than 1Mbps upload. So will the ADSL filter effect the speed and will I benefit from have a VDSL jackpoint?

Last question: Would the wiring in my house effect the speed of the internet and is there anyway that I can tell if the house wiring is slowing down the internet without replacing the wiring?
