So I've purchased a new house, and when I went to plug in my router I noticed the ONT screws have come out of the wall and the entire thing is being held by a single screw. The box was also installed using wall anchors into Gib instead of into a stud.

So question - how do I screw it back in? Is it a $331 + gst Chorus call out fee? If so, then I may as well relocate somewhere else.

The answer is indeed to raise a fault with your RSP.

While technically the ONT can be moved to re-secure the screws, Chorus do NOT recommend doing this as any damage caused to the ONT or cables could be charged to you.

When you speak with your RSP make it clear you have just moved in and found the ONT in this state, and again make sure the tech is aware of this.

There should be no charge passed to you.
