From approximately 12pm this afternoon to 8pm this evening there was a Vector cable outage.

This outage affected all Maxnet/Fyx dsl customers.

Maxnet were advising a truck had run over a cable somewhere in Northcote.

Does anyone know more about how the outage occurred - and if customers from other ISP's were affected - and what the cable does?
