Hi

I have 3 computers in my house

2 Laptops
1 Desktop

I did a speedtest with all 3 computers
Laptop (running Vista Home Premuim) - 3000 kpbs down , 128kb/s up
Desktop (running XP) - 2930 kb/s down , 128kb/s up
Laptop (running XP ) - 753 kb/s down , 128kb/s up

Why is my laptop (running xp) so slow?

Specs for the slow laptop
XP Home
1 GB RAM
383 MHz

mme: Why is my laptop (running xp) so slow?

Just a hunch...

Is the Laptop connected via Wireless?

Also:  Is the CPU speed REALLY 383MHz?

Heck, that's not even Pentium3 speed so it would probably have a lot to do with the poor result Frown

Yes its using wireless

However so is the other laptop

I have tested it using a cable is well but no luck. And yes the CPU speed is really that slow :(
