I had VDSL for less than a year before moving to UFB. When I connected to VDSL back then I had a new filter/splitter installed. I have now totally stopped using any copper in the house, and am in the process of removing the jackpoints (quite good timing, as we are redecorating).

What to do with the relatively new VDSL filter I now have no use for? I don't want to just bin it. Does anyone have a use for this?

You could leave it in place in case a future owner (or even you!) decide you need/want a copper connection again. Not really worth a lot ($20 new), donate to a needy GZer...

I would leave it in case you ever vacate the property and the next person wants VDSL. I have one too and I'm leaving it there, just in case.

I had a spare and it is now a very useful key ring for a small thumb drive, I would have definitely lost the thumb drive if it wasn't for the splitter

Not an option to leave in place, as the phone jack it was housed in has been removed, and the copper cable to it has been cut. It was surface-run, and we are re-wallpapering, so it is not going back on that wall. Fibre comes into a different part of the house now.
