I searched up D-Link DSL-G604T disconnecting in google and I found a topic with my EXACT problem
http://www.geekzone.co.nz/forums.asp?ForumId=49&TopicId=10577

My line continiously cuts out, its incredibly frustrating and I have no clue what to do about it. I don't want to buy a new router because I'm scared the same  thing is just going to happen cept I'm going to lose $200 in the process! Anyone got any ideas :(

I have also had this problem, but on a completly different modem. It may be by chance but i used the System Restore (Start>Accessories>System Tools>System Restore). I restored my computer to a month earlier, the problems started happening about 3 weeks ago and I have never had any problems since.

This probably was by chance that it worked and i probably had a virus or something AVG wasnt picking up on but it worked for me so i am happy.

Dlinks tend to reboot in an attempt to restore the connection. Setup a continuous ping to the lan interface and another to the public/wan ip or gateway. If both interfaces go down at once then the router is rebooting.

If the router is rebooting then disconnect the phoneline, if rebooting stops with line disconnected then this behaviour is caused by quality of adsl signal on line. Phone ISP etc. and report fault.

Spark Max Fibre using Mikrotik CCR1009-8G-1S-1S+, CRS125-24G-1S, Unifi UAP, U6-Pro, UAP-AC-M-Pro, Apple TV 4K (2022), Apple TV 4K (2017), iPad Air 1st gen, iPad Air 4th gen, iPhone 13, SkyNZ3151 (the white box). If it doesn't move then it's data cabled.

I have no clue how to do the bolded part. The weird thing is in the thread he talks about how it stopped disconnecting then on 11 December it just started again. The exact same thing happened to me, except a year ahead of him.

Have you got an adsl spilter? recently I used to get disconected every so often and had low speeds what I did was add an adsl spliter to my line and it worked like a charm.

Which exchange are you on?  If it is scheduled for upgrade to ADSL2+, then there might be a period of 1 month over which you get a lot of disconnections until they finish commissiioning the new equipment.  That happened to me, lots of disconnections and then suddenly since the last day of the commissioning period all the disconnections stopped.
