I am curious to why there is waiting period with the ONT already installed. I'm not fussed, but I was hoping it would be a lot quicker :) anyone know what has to happen on the chorus side of things? (chorus area). Cheers

When chorus installed mine they literally turned it on there and then, straight after installing it - and got me to hook up router and test it before they left.

I think you already said that - but did you get it installed, or have you moved into a new place that already has an ONT?

Dolts: ONT is installed.

But is it newly installed just for you, or is it existing with a previous/current connection?

Sorry. We have moved into this property. It's been here for a while and has been off and connectionless for a month or so.

Apart from the activating the connection on the Chorus equipment, it would also depend on what arrangement your provider has with Chorus for checking your end of the connection - most contract to have a tech call 'on a set date' to check and connect rather than pay later for additional Fault fees if the 'intact' connection doesn't work and its found to be their/your fault (which is common issue ie my phone doesn't work or I cant get a connection -Wrong Router port etc - Im not say that this will hapen in your case - but it happens too often so the Providers go with the Tech install option.) .

The set day/time has to be programmed in around existing installs, other intact connections and Misc jobs etc
