My rate has gone from 50Mbit+ down / 12Mbit up, to 17MBit down and 8Mbit up :-(

Chorus actually came this morning (1 day response time.. not bad!) and he fiddled with the cabinet and said if there is no improvement in 8 days to relog the case).

I've a case logged with 2Degrees and they in turn engaged Chorus, but I just wondering what I can test my end ?

This is what the Fritzbox reports now :

Your downstream Line Attenuation has jumped from 12 to 23dB.

That implies to me that you have a line fault - have you had wet weather recently?

i would try and rule out any internal wiring as the cause first. but as said above your attenuation has doubled and thats whats caused your speed to plumit

how is VDSL wired in the house? straight from the ETP to a dedicated jack point with no other phone jacks? do you have a master filter?

can you test your connected by connecting directly to the ETP? this will rule out all your internal wiring

Yup .. lots of wet stuff falling from the sky this week!

ETP goes to one side of the garage, then goes over the ceiling to a box on the wall housing the Fritzbox and other network gear. And that's it, no other phone jacks on the line.

Internal wiring should be all good, had it redone last year to simplify the setup (taking all the internal jacks out of the loop)

No master splitter as no phones other than DECT linked ones to the Fritzbox.

still cant hurt to check at the ETP if your capable :) at least that rules out your property as the cause
