Hey, i have the Belkin N Wireless Router/Modem, it displays this

Type: FAST PATH
Status: SHOWTIME
                Downstream     Upstream
Datarate:   8032kb             832kb
Noise Margin: 12                  12
Output power(dBm): 124         79
Attenuation(dB) 10                     7

Am i on ADSL2+?

Considering that you have a low line attenuation (10dB) you should be syncing near to 24mbps.

What plan are you on? You should be getting ADSL2+ speeds.

Telecom Broadband Pro 40gb FS/FS



Max Download is like 7mbs, isnt that only adsl1 speeds?

If you log into your routers stats page, You should be able to see a box with "line mode" or "modulation"
What does it say in the box. That will tell you what mode your router connects at by defult

Belkin N Wireless Router/Modem, thats the model lol. Does Telstraclear support ADSL2+ Im looking to change.

You might want to try putting your address into the following mapping tool

www.telecomwholesale.co.nz/maps
which gives you a quick answer on:
- are you off an ADSL2+ exchange
- are you off a cabinet and if so what date is the cabinet going to be upgraded

The model of the modem would need to be a little more specific. Have a look on the green or black telepermit sticker which should say the full make and model.

Being an N capable wifi ap i would expect it is new enough to support adsl2+

These rates are within ADSL1 speeds. (8128/1024)

I'd recommend first of all you check whether you're on ADSL2+ enabled equipment, and that you're not forcing it to connect with G.DMT (ADSL1 protocol)

Also, you'll want to try and isolation test to make sure any of your equipment isn't having a negative impact on you rates.

ADSL1 = 7616 / 916 kbps
Port rates like the ones you have indicate that you are connecting to ADSL2+ capable equipment.Distance, copper diameter, attenuation, loop resistance determine your connect rate more than anything else, cept maybe nubs using extension leads XD

Non-interleaved circuits (such as the OP) have a higher maximum connect rate. The rate you're thinking of is the interleaved max.

However to get a connect rate of 832 up in conjunction with the downstream rate of 8032 down, means there are other limiting factors affecting the rates themselves other than interleaving.
Turning interleaving on, on a 7302 ISAM on an ADSL2-FS/FS profile will not drop the connect rates to 7616 and up to 916kbps upstream, as the modulation remains ADSL2+.
Its probably more likely that the connection in question is somewhere around the 2 - 2.5km crossover point for ADSL1 & ADSL2+ connect rates (imho).

Adsl =8160 / 1024 Accualty. But i guess he is on adsl not adsl2+ nor his exchange is upgraded or he is to far
