Have just noticed that a small length of fibre is protruding from the ONT. I suspect the plastic covered part has accidentally been pulled down.

Connection is still ok - but this seems very likely to end badly if I can’t get the non-protected fibre back up inside.

Any tips? (noting I’m VERY aware how fragile that thin strand is…..

So... you can unclip the ONT off of the termination point, then carefully manage the fibre back into where/how it should be.

You can also send me the ONT serial number (ALCL_______) and I'll take a look to see if we can spot any problems.

Cheers!
Brent

Hey Brent - thanks heaps for the reply.

I’ll open it up tomorrow and then PM you the serial number once tucked back up

I can’t remember exactly how it looked, but I’m guessing that clear cover tubing should be flipped 180 degrees?

So open ONT, unplug green plug, feed thin fibre back around, curve the thicker white shielding back up at bottom of clear tube, plug green back in, and close ONT back up?

You might not need to unplug the fibre - it's preferred not to, to avoid any chance of contamination.

Yeah, try to do it without unplugging the fibre from the ONT.
Otherwise your process is right 👍
