I remember some years ago there was site that did monthly reports on broadband performance across the various ISPs, but I think that long since shutdown.

Apologies if there is something similar that has been discussed here on GZ, but I can't seem to locate it?

Where is the best place to go to see how the various ISPs are performing during peak hours, latency, international traffic, etc...?

Thanks - that's different than the old one that I'm thinking about, but that's a good replacement.  I was hoping to see how Quic is performing, but they didn't make the cut it seems.  2Degrees seems the laggard, but honestly, it doesn't seem like it's all that different than the others.  I'm far less worried about getting 912mbps vs. 882mbps throughput.  I'm mostly concerned with latency and international throughput.

Fancy seeing you here!

Full disclosure I’m a Quic customer and help on their Discord

Be assured the reason they’re not on there isn’t because they “didn’t make the cut” but rather their customer base is not as large as the big players. ComCom can only work so many metrics into their timeframes.

If you’re curious about performance specifics, feel free to hit up the Quic forum here. I can say that latency, throughput and routes have been improved this year to a fantastic level and I’m very picky myself about that sort of thing. I would say they’re on track to being the best overall if not already. That is their goal.

TrueNet. They sent a customised router out to interested participants. Was more accurate than the replacement methodology.

We'd definitely love to be popping up on the MBNZ reports and showing off our network, but as mentioned, while there definitely are some SamKnows boxes on the network, there's not enough (yet!) to be at the level required for proper methodology in these reports.

That being said, if you'd like any tests or traceroutes/MTRs, feel free to message. 🙂

Plus if you do decide on moving across, you could then get a SamKnows box to help that reporting! 😉

Right! That's the one I was thinking about! Yeah, their method seemed really good. Shame to see them gone.
