Hi Team

Having a second DSL connection installed as a backup and to isolate the VoIP from other traffic. The cable run from the demarcation point to where we want the outlet is about 50m, and an existing CAT5 solid core cable is carrying the primary DSL to where we have the current outlet.

Chorus will be runni g a new phone line from the pole. Should I run a new CAT5 internally or will both DSL in the one CAT5 be fine?

I suspect it will be ok but it never hurts to ask!

Cheers

It won't make any difference, the DSL signal is already carried in twisted multipair copper all the way from the exchange or cabinet!

You will be fine running even 4x DSL down a cat5.
