After having a few problems with my computer re gaming, I am looking at doing an upgrade on the Memory, CPU and Motherboard. 

Choice 1 is: 

AMD FX-6300 3.5GHz Socket AM3+
Asus M5A97 Evo R2.0 Motherboard or Gigabyte GA-970A-D3 Motherboard
A-Data XPG 2x4GB DDR3-1866

Choice 2 is:
Intel Core i3-3220 3.3 GHz
A-Data XPG Gaming Series, 1x4GB, DDR3-1600
Gigabyte GA-H77-D3H Motherboard, Socket 1155

The Intel being only 2 cores and the AMD 6 cores. 

Would be used for games such as Sim City and Anno 2070 and Netflix, Hulu etc.
