Hey guys, quick question before I try samsung support or taking this back to jbhifi since my google fu has failed me...

I just bought this monitor and have it set up next to an AOC LED screen, it looks great and is smooth with video etc but there's one issue, usually fairly faint and unnoticeable... The best way I can describe it is scrolling horizontal lines, similar to when you view a CRT screen through a camera - but not as severe or as fast.

It happens only on the new screen, Much more noticeable in a full screen game with dark colours (or maybe even only when the games going? it's fairly subtle so its hard to tell sometimes)
I've tried various settings, it seems that full screen mode makes it heaps worse, windowed mode either stops it entirely or makes it very unnoticeable.

The picture on the new screen is much better quality than the old, so its possible it was always happening and I can only see it on the new screen... Been tweaking different settings on and off to see if i can make it change.

Any ideas? Anything I can test to try work out what's causing it?

In the monitor config of the AMD/ATI bloatware there is a slider to remove the underscan.

They do that because many people are using TV's, and some crap TVs emulate an old CRT screen by cutting off the edges of the picture. This also add's to the percieved screensize when its beside one that is not overscanning in a store display so people will buy the one with bigger faces on it even tho they are the same size. If you dont underscan the desktop, then the start button is off the bottom of the screen so it makes more support hassles.
