Apologies for the incorrect forum. Nothing seems to fit.

Any clues how to change ink cartridges on a HP 6960 when the caddy refuses to move to the correct cartridge changing location?

I've successfully printed today, but when I open the lid to change to new cartridges the caddy stays where it is. Stays right, but is meant to move to the centre.

Frustration setting in, foul words used at this device & getting near to biffing it & buying a new one. And manufacturers wonder why there so much e-waste when a new home printer is 1/3 of the price of a replacement set of inks

Any assistance appreciated.

What Ive done in the past ...
Start a print, of any sort

disconnect power part way through the print (pull the plug so it just stops where it is)
the carriage will be somewhere in the middle-ish. You can move it to where you need it & change the cart
Remove paper (carefully)

This is a last resort sort of thing. You will then need to remove the stuck paper .
