Can you run a USB 3 Ext HDD through a USB 2 Extension cable?

Yes ... but if you plug it into a USB3.0 port on your computer it will only show as USB 2.0.

Can't see why not, USB3 is just 2 extra sets of connectors on the cable for the high speed connection, the power and USB2 connections are still on the same pins.......

Although you will only get USB2 speed

One of our customers just tried it and it didn't appear to work. Weird. Thought so just checking! Cheers!
