Hello,

In the bios it says 1333MHz. In CPU-Z it says 686. I have an FX 4100 @ 3.6GHz, my mobo is M5A97 Evo.

I can't find anywhere at all about where it says how much RAM is supported, etc for either of the products as the websites are crap. I changed the RAM freq. in the BIOS settings to 1866, then I got a blue screen.

I am stupid. Please help

Double Data Rate... i.e. the DDR part of what is probably DDR2-1866, refers to the clock rate being doubled from the base rate.
I'm not sure I have the appropriate knowledge to explain it correctly, that's where Wikipedia comes in. :)

Ultimately, it will actually be running at the full 1866MHz, but CPU-Z will report half, because that's what it is seeing.

Although, it's probably more like DDR3, considering the rated speed is 1866MHz, yet it's reporting 686MHz. Still, the same principle applies.

Okay thanks for all the help. I worked it out anyway, it was running at 933 so I assumed you just double it and thus the 1866 total. BIOS says 1866, so I'm just going to go by the bios
