Thanks for the heads up; I already have too many cloud storage accounts, but I won't say no to 50GB!

Another free 50 GB cloud storage option? I have not heard of ?box? before, but looking at their web site, it does not appear to stand out from the rest?
I will stick with SkyDrive for now.
I did find a New Zealand based offering last week. It appealed to me because the servers are based in New Zealand, which does appeal. See http://homedrive.co.nz/

One downside of Box was they only gave paid users access to the desktop sync app, not sure what the policy is now but if you have to rely on web interface it can be slow and time consuming. After a few months they offered me the sync app for free which was great

The problem with the free 50GB accounts is the file size limit is 250MB from memory.
I haven't bothered with my 50GB account I've had for about a year because of this.

Sweet. I haven't bothered with SkyDrive. I think I'll just use this instead.

www.mega.co.nz are also offering free 50GB accounts, paying for a 500GB account myself.
