Hi all

My aged APC SmartUPS 750XL which has served me well seems to have gone n died ... along with a new bettery.

Couple of questions.
* Is it possible to buy just the case/controller bits without the battery(s)?
* Does anyone know what other UPS's use the same batteries?

Be nice to make use of the battery without having buy a whole new UPS.

Cheers

A quick google revealed to me that the batteries are just 2x 7ah SLA batteries wired in series to make them 24v.
The video showed the APC SmartUPS 750 but i imagine the XL is a similar model.

Anyhow the 7 amp 12 volt Sealed Lead Acid batteries are about $30 each (you use two of them) from Ideal Electrical and used in almost every UPS - but you need to keep the wiring loom on the batteries.

I can tell you Dynamix and Digitus use them, as well as most other APC models - I have a 1500va that uses them too.

I run an APC Smart-UPS 1500 230V, which uses Replacement Battery Cartridge #7  (RBC7)
An excellent UPS, very reliable.
Available from Ascent.
