Hi guys,

Just Recently got 4 sticks of DDR4 CMK16GX4M2A2133C13, but running speccy, cpuz buurnintest all gives me two sticks being cl15 and two sticks being cl13. The cl15 sticks are showing CMK16GX4M4A2133C15 model Could speccy, cpuz etc get it wrong? I have no overclock or anything. Using i7 6700 GA Z170 HD3...

I have tried to pull the two showing cl15 out of their slots and put them in the same slots as the ones showing cl13 but no luck...

Thank you in advance guys

Speccy/CPU-Z will be reporting what the motherboard is reporting. Is that specific RAM on the compatibility list for the motherboard? Is it running the latest bios?

Okay so yep CMK16GX4M2A2133C13 is on the approved compatibility list. It's possible you have two "faulty" sticks that are actually the CMK16GX4M4A2133C15 part and have been mislabeled at the factory, stranger things have happened.

Yeah i am, i was on the latest downloadable bios, which is f6 from the gigabyte website. but i also contacted gigabyte support they have given me f7f bios build which i am using right now. nothing has changed so i dont think its the bios.

I have physically checked the detailed info printed on the ram sticks it self, it indeed says the same model number and speed, same cl same everything but a different product id, i suppose that makes sense as they are different sticks. I am also in contact with Corsair support, so far he has told me for cl13 i need xmp? but i was like ok im not overclocking and my bios doesnt actually give me the xmp profiles?

Thanks for the response so far.

in bios it doesnt tell me model number etc. cas timing shows 15 for both channels. So it doesnt really tell me alot  as cl 13 can do cl 15 as well right?
