Hi All,

I tried to setup dual monitors to my Radeon 9800. And now I can no longer watch xvids or get my TV tuner to show images. The sound still comes through perfectly however. Upon disconnecting the new monitor - I thought this would correct the problem, but I still cannot see xvids or tv tuner pictures, but again sound works on the old monitor. Video games still work perfectly...

What would cause this? Unplugging the second monitor should have made the old monitor go back to being the primary. Correct? Does it have anything to do with the resolution?

Many thanks

Extended Desktop or Clone?

Try switching those programs to overlay, vmr7, vmr9 and see if any of those work? ive had a dual monitor setup on a 9800 before and its worked fine.

It was just an extended desktop. However, before I take the dual screening any further It would be great just to get the video to play again on my original monitor...
Thanks.

What program are you using for viewing your xvid media files? And what program is the the TV tuner.

Dan's tip looks like a good one to try.

http://realtimesoft.com/ultramon/ is a useful program for working with multi-monitors.
