So my LastPass Premium account is due for renewal this week, and I see that since last renewal they've doubled their price to $24 US. This still isn't too bad, and cheaper than many alternatives, but I have also noticed the free version of LastPass now has 'mobile sync' so wondered whether it was critical to still retain a Premium account.

I'm confused, by the website on which it is stated the free version can be accessed "on all devices", but on a number of other pages such as its blog site (eg this page) it states one is limited to using the app on a single category of device, eg any one of desktops, phones or tablets.

Does anyone know for sure how the free version works in relation to this?

I need access across all device categories, so will happily pay for Premium if this is a requirement, but just wanted to be sure of the situation.

Thanks in advance.

Just wait for the day it is due and see if you can still do everything :P

I would also be interested to know if it can.

My premium expired last week, still seems to work OK on both windows 10, and IOS.

I don't think password sharing works though (where you can share passwords between family members for example).

I've only had a free account; and I can use it across all my devices - Android, iPad, and web-browser.

I'd consider mine worth considerably more than $24 a year honestly.

surfisup1000 is partly correct. Password sharing does work in the free version, but only one entry at a time. You can't share a whole folder of saved passwords.

Like jamesrt, I use my Lastpass account on Android, iOS and multiple browsers in Windows.

I renewed mine - don't use any features that the free version doesn't cover but how I see it is $24US is very little money and they deserve it.

OK thanks for clarifying.

I was sharing a whole folder... no huge deal though. Will stay on free.
