I'm wanting to replace the HDD in my Acer E1-572 laptop with an SSD (specifically, a Samsung 850). Just wondered if there will be any size issues, or do all 2.5" drives have exactly the same dimensions?

Many thanks for any advice  :)

There are two thicknesses (9mm and 7.5mm if i recall) but the other dimensions are the same.  The SSD will be the thinner dimension, and will screw into the same mounting bracket the existing spinning drive uses.

Just take it easy with those little screws....  they are easy to strip the heads from if your screwdriver is not the right size, and the little buggers are really hard to find if you knock them off your desk onto carpet!
