I want to buy a graphics card that will run 3 monitors.

One 4k on HDMI and two 1080P on DVI and VGA.

I wondered about a GTX 710 but I understand that the chipset cannot drive 3 monitors if one is being run at 4k.

I do not want to pay hundreds of bucks for a power hungry gaming monitor, I just want more screen real-estate.

Are you aware that these days your computer's onboard graphics can be used at the same time as a graphics card?  Can your onboard graphics drive the two 1080 monitors and get a midrange graphics card for your 4K?

Not all, and this is assuming what OP has.

jpoc, I have a GTX750 I can sell you for cheap, I will confirm if it can do what you want. Can you also confirm your motherboard and CPU?
