I am currently looking at getting a new monitor, but these days there are so many choices - 1080p, 1440p, 4K, Curved and the standard flat variety and probably other specs that I have missed.
Anyway, I am looking at a couple of models, but would like advice please if they would be fine with my setup, which comprises an AMD Ryzen 5 2600, 16GB RAM and a 4GB Asus RX570 GPU.
The models are a Dell 27" Curved Gaming Monitor: Curved Gaming Monitor: Dell 27 Monitor - S2721HGF | Dell New Zealand A Dell 27" QHD IPS Dell 27 Monitor: S2721DS | Dell New Zealand

Currently I am using an Asus VS238 60Hz which has a TN panel. The Dell Curved Gaming Monitor has a refresh rate of 144Hz while the QHD is 75Hz.  Typical use for me when using the computer is web browsing, office, streaming, some photo editing and some gaming - I don't really do First Person Shooters but do occasionally play Rocket League, while other game time consists of games like Frost Punk, Cities Skylines, and other simulation games.

So in saying all that, out of the two monitors mentioned, which is the better choice? Would my graphics card work fine with the 144Hz Curved Gaming Monitor or would I be better with the higher resolution 27" QHD 75Hz monitor, but again, would my graphics card work fine with it? Fine as in no frames per seconds dropped in say Rocket League?  I did look at a 32" Curved AOC monitor too, but being only 1080p, and I am usually sitting about 550mm away from the screen, I figured that I would probably see too many pixels being that close. Any help is much appreciated.

Which is the better monitor all depends on what you value more, refresh rate or resolution.

For the gaming the 1080p 144hz VA panel
For photo editing, web browsing etc, the 1440p 75hz IPS panel

Or stretch the budget a little further and get one that's 1440p 144hz like the AOC CQ27G2

I can recommend the Dell 27 Monitor - S2721DS

I bought it a month back for use as a second screen for my MS Surface Pro via a MS surface docking station.
Mainly used for web browsing, and use of MS word and Excel. I selected this for the  QHD (2560x1440) spec as it makes a difference
from a HD monitor.

Make sure that you get the DS version for the rather versatile stand and speakers.

Could the video card handle 1440p and 144hz though?
