I’m needing to extend my current power supply (split it) to connect some extra HDD’s. 2 to be precise.

Using someone like PB tech is there a way of extending from my current power supply to connect to some extra HDD

My current set up has a power supply connection but it does t reach to my HDD and I need one more..

Can someone tell me what I need?

Try Jaycar, or CDL.

Logistics Centre has 20, so should be able to order it?

OOPS, just seen delivery date is at least 10 days.

For that sort of thing I usually use a spare Molex connector on the power supply and one of these:

or something similar.  And do not forget to check the load on the power supply cable is not being exceeded when you add extras to it.  The Molex connectors are rated for more power than the SATA ones.

I'd order one or two from PB anyway and wait, but thats because I'm cheap, they're the cheapest and you'll get free postage if they still have a code thats valid somewhere.

Also, in my limited experience, it usually gets shipped faster than they say (except, of course, now that I've said that...)

If you want to pickup in Auckland I'm 99% sure I have one lying around. Or pay for postage I guess.
