Holy smokes, I did not expect a business that's just been acquired by Adobe for $1B+ no less would have such a dark cancellation process.

Check out the steps I went through and was still charged $200USD because I had to click on CANCEL on their email which went into junk.

Tried contacting their support and they can see me trying to cancel but since I didn't click on their email, they refused the $200USD refund.

If you clicked the big red button labelled "Cancel subscription" and it didn't cancel, then I'd be doing a chargeback.

This practice is absolute BS and I support anyone who names and shames anti-consumer offenders.

We need legislation to force corporations to make it as easy to cancel online services as it is to subscribe.

Yip, initiated a chargeback

Hope I win this case.

They even admitted that they can see me trying to cancel the plan.

This crap is so chargeback worthy. They cost companies when they happen and it's obvious that your intention to cancel was clear.

"Adobe".

That says a lot. The company that locks you into 12-month contracts and if you decide to cancel it they will charge the remaining of the "subscription" as cancellation fee.

Never mind it's software that runs on your computer and there's no cost for them.

Scummy practices, SEMRush must have learned from the new owners.

Been setting up a new phone. I want to slaughter someone.

No, I don't want you to install that. Or that. You won't let me continue with setup unless I agree to install TikTok and CoPilot? Of course you won't. Uninstall stuff and it re-installs. Yup. Play Store won't open unless I re-enter the password and decide on a purchase verification method when I don't have any way set up to pay for anything in the first place

So now I have to wait a week without rebooting or disconnecting from the internet before it lets me OEM unlock it and root it.

Motorola used to be one of the better ones. Should've gone for Nothing or OnePlus I think.
