Have run formway life chair for years, and have sworn by it.

But with moving countries, it was going to cost around NZD1000 to ship both my and my wifes, so ended up giving them away.

Such chairs are rare here in Austrailia, but I have found a source at under AUD200 each.

Question is should I spend 5x the money and get a Herman Miller Aeron Remastered (used), ergohuman, steelcase or something else. or stick with what I know and love?

I use a Herman Miller chair and I cannot fault it. It has very good adjustments, great for long periods at the keyboard. I very much recommend them.

Here is a crazy notion, lets give peace a chance.

You know the answer. There'll be something else in Aus that'll be a pain in the backside.

Have a look at the high end ikea chairs. I've had mine for 3 years and it's excellent.

Ive been using chairs from https://knightgroup.co.nz/ since pre-covid. Price range in the $300-$400 bracket and these have the best purchase ive made. I have been working from home since 2020 and cant fault these chairs.

These were put in at my workplace by assessors when an ergonomics study was done and i was so impressed with it i bought my own for home setup...

its a good move to go and test which ones work best for you as they obviously have different sizes and types. For me i run the evo luxe range.

I have back issues and unless its something ergonomic i cant deal with it day in day out (had a "gaming" chair and it was terrible for me)

My Eden Office chair is 20 years old and is still in excellent condition. I replaced the gas strut last year. I was going to replace the whole chair but there was nothing wrong with it other than the strut, and a new chair is around $600.

Spectrum, can’t recommend them highly enough.

Have one at home as well as in office.

Last forever.

We recently replaced ageing Formway chairs with Spectrum following workplace assessments and everyone with the new Spectrum prefer them to the Formway.

Those are the same brand as mine, slightly different model but the model I have is probably gone. With good treatment at home they still look good and work well at 20 years old.
