Hey guys,

Any one know of a PCI card for AV inputs? IE the yellow, red and white.
Wanting to plug my PS2/Dreamcast into, as I don't actually have a TV ahha

Does it have to be on a card?, you could get a USB tuner that uses a breakout cable,

A pci card does seem like a lot of hassle to go through.

That is a VGA -> TV converter.

I think the OP wants a TV input device so they can use their PS2 on their PC monitor via some TV capture software.

Whoa, sorry. Was thinking backwards when I wrote that.
My old desktop has a tv tuner card in it but the only input it has is a coax... don't think I've ever seen exactly what you're looking for.

Yea, I've got a tuner card as well, but only coax/sat input, no composite for audio and video.

Best bet is to pick up a cheap Hauppauge MCE150 heaps of them around since nobody wants them for analogue TV any longer.

I have one if you want to put in an offer.

Reastically they aren't worth a lot. Last time I looked on Trademe there were a few going for $30 or so.

$25 + postage and it's yours if you are keen.

Almost any analog TV tuner card is able to do that, you just need some adaptors. Older ones tend to have a RCA composite video input, whereas newer ones usually have an S-Video type plug, most of which can accept composite video with an adaptor. Audio input is usually via a 3.5mm plug, but you can easily get (or make) an adaptor from that to two RCA sockets for the audio.

I have done this in the past with an Xbox and a PVR150.
The problem I have found with using a PVR150, not sure about other cards, is that there is quite a delay from when you press a button on the controller to actually seeing the action happen on the screen. Makes playing a game pretty much impossible.
I assume this is because there is some processing going on on the card before it is sent to the video card to display.
Maybe a non-mpeg2 hardware encoder card might be a better way to go for this.
