hi peeps.
i have a desktop with roughly 2 tb's of data used on my HDD's
what i want , is a piece of software that will automatically back up my data.
i know heaps that can do this.
but!
the tricky part is, i dont want it to completely back up everytime. ( i dont have 30 hours a day to do this)
what i want , is a program that will ONLY BACKUP THE CHANGES (not yelling)
so, instead of backing up 2tb everyday, it will only do the files i change, add, remove and so on.

hope to hear from someone soon, thanks heaps

I had to do something similar and ended up creating a script with Robocopy (comes standard with Vista, Win7), and then set it as a daily task with Task Scheduler.

Don't know how long the first backup took (was across network so I just left it), but now it takes 5-10 mins each day.

Try Google for "robocopy backup script" for a ton of examples on how to do it, and then create your own.

I use Symantec Backup Exec System Recovery, but on servers. For file backup there are easier/cheaper options. I use Synctoy a lot. Also Acronis is similar to Symantec Backup Exec System Recovery but they have a cheaper version for consumer/home use.

If you want to pay for something then I reckon ShadowProtect is the best one to go for.
