Folks, I am using a MIMO UM-710 (USB display) as my third monitor... Up until some time ago it would be automatically on when I logged into Windows.

Now it will be black (still powered on, but nothing shown), unil I unplug and plug it again. It does this every time I power up the laptop with the USB cable plugged in.

Any ideas?

Yes, running latest drivers, etc...

Did you change your bios? If you updated the firmware, it may not activate the usb in the post process, and rely on windoze to initialise it?

Good luck.

No, no BIOS update lately... Just found there are new drivers released last Monday, so installing those now.

Uninstalled the existing drivers and DisplayLink program, restarted the laptop, installed the newly released driver and everything seems fine again.

Cancel the alarms!
