I currently have an HP p1120 CRT monitor but it is starting to play up, randomly blurring for no apparent reason before coming right again.

So now I'm looking at LCD monitors. The best one so far I've come across is the viewsonic VX2739 which I can get at Global PC for $699. I haven't found a review of this here. Can anyone help me out whether or not this is a good replacement monitor.

I am a gamer - more emipire building and RTS than FPS. How will older games such as Total Annihialtion look on it? I hear it looks bad on some LCD monitors but that also may depend on the graphcis card. I have an HD4770 BTW.
