I have decided to upgrade on my current build which is really Banana.

My current specs are
CPU AMD Athlon X2 240 2.8Ghz
MOBO Gigabyte N61PME-S2P
GRAPHICS 9400 GT
RAM 2GB DDR2
PSU 500W

Ok thats my current build. This is the upgrade I want to do, and I will be able to play games on it such as call of duty and fallout new vegas. I have decided on a new Cooler Master CM690 II Case and a
Graphics card, the XFX HD-577X-ZMF3 Radeon HD 5770 1GB. My question is will it work on my current build. my motherboard is a Micro ATX and I dont know if I need a bigger motherboard.
Can anyone tell me if this build will work out fine ?

Two questions:
1: What's your budget?
2: What size/resolution is your screen (eg 24" 1920x1080 etc)?

I would upgrade the ram to 4GB and graphics (what model depends on budget and screen size imo) as #1 priority.

A case upgrade is largely an aesthetic upgrade that won't provide bang for buck imo, what's your current case?
