Hi Im just about finished building my new PC and would like to know if anyone owns this GFX card http://pricespy.co.nz/product.php?p=517948 and recommends it.

The computer will be used for gaming, video encoding and general usage, trademe etc. Im also planning to install a Wintv hvr 4400 TV card so im hoping the card will be able to support H.264. Also wondering if it is compatible with Windows XP pro as im planning to dual-boot with windows 7.

Ive also been looking at the new ATI 68xx and 69xx series cards but i think they are a bit much for what im wanting to do.

Thoughts and opinions please!

5770 is a mid range card and will play the latest games on roughly medium to perhaps low detail (assuming you want consistently high FPS).

h264 is supported on all the latest nvidia and AMD cards nowadays.

I have a 5850 and it works great. The Nvidia GTX460 is also an excellent card for bang for buck.

So do you think it will play games like dirt 2 on good quality settings? I really dont have the money to buy a card in the range of $300-500.

It's a good card. Performs a lot better than expected. A good video card to buy right now for value - since series 6 has come out!

Thats strange, i remember it being $420 ish for a top brand of one, $500 is way too much.
