Hi, I am looking for a backup/storage HD for my PC, I wouldn't install OS on it, but maybe
put virtual machines on it due to space is quite limited on my OS hard drive, so a little bit speed wouldn't hurt. Anyway I am mainly looking for reliability ( Warranty 3 years at least? ) and price per TB.

I am looking for 1 TB at least, probably 1.5 TB or more if it is within $150, is that reasonable budget for what I am asking?

I always seem to end up getting my stuff from PBtech http://www.pbtech.co.nz/ They have some good deals on Seagate HD's at the moment (2 yr warranty...that's about as long as you will get IME)

Lazy is such an ugly word, I prefer to call it selective participation

Hi Corksta, I am actually looking for a internal one, as I already got a external USB hard drive.

The USB one for important stuff (Projects, emails, photos) as an offline backup. But I figure out I need another for not so important stuff (Videos, songs, applications) and it more for convince / save time rather than backup, so I decided I will have a internal one hard drive to backup what I already had on my file server (1TB).

Samsung SpinPoint F3 HD103SJ 32MB 1TB 3.5 is about $90, cheaper/faster/quieter than the WD Black (and way faster than the "green" drives).

Samsung F3 looks like a good buy for me. For that performance and price, I will probably replace my WD 640AAKS OS drive with a F3 and using the 640AAKS as data/back drive. I will save the money or if I need more space latter, buying a green/EcoGreen drive just for data/backup.
