My wife wants to add a map location to an appointment. On her old N8, my E7 and N9 this is easy to do but we cannot find a way to do this with the 1020. She want to be able to tap on the appointment as she could with the N8 and use the map location to open Drive to get directions to the appointment.

I must admit I'm not entirely sure how it works on the N8, but on my 920 when entering "Location" field it seems pretty good at auto suggesting locations as I type an address in, and then once the appointment is created tapping the location opens the map at that location with a "directions" button right there. Just curious what more you need?

It doesn't seem to work that way on the 1020 as that's what was tried. She tried and I tried.

Thanks Brent. It must be frustrating seeing functions like this missing from the newer (better?) OS and having to explain that fact.

It doesn't seem to work that way on the 1020 as that's what was tried. She tried and I tried.

Ah interesting, it only works that way if I select one of the auto-suggestions for the location when creating the appointment. It doesn't seem to make any attempt to geo-locate an address of an existing appointment when I haven't selected from the original auto-suggestions. I'd guess it might be the same with appointments where you've been invited but didn't create the appointment. Hmm, annoying!

There are a few other calendar applications that support this feature, Super Calendar is one that springs to mind. Some cost, some are free or ad supported.
