I loved my Lumia phones..... started off with a Lumia 520 from @nate , then while on holiday in Rotorua a friend called to say Harvey Norman had around 50% off the Lumia 640XL - went and grabbed that and gave the 520 to the wife.
Fantastic camera on the 640XL, massive phone though :D
The OS was great to use, but unfortunately noone else thought so :(

Sony Xperia XA2 running Sailfish OS. https://sailfishos.org The true independent open source mobile OS
Samsung Galaxy Tab S6
Dell Inspiron 14z i5
And before there was Pocket PC. Fiddly to use, but seemed more full-featured than Windows Mobile
I didn't use Windows Phone until version 8. I'd still be using my second Lumia and Windows Phone 10 if I could.
We still have one Lumia in the family running Windows Phone 8.
Still think Windows Phone had the best UI.. So much better than Android or IOS. I absolutely hated it on a desktop (or server!) but man that UI was perfect for phones and tablets.

At the time I though it was the best thing since sliced bread, and since then it hasn't moved very far down the list. Still got 640XL, but its only used as the morning alarm now.
I did try a few Android launchers that were supposed to ape the interface ages ago, and maybe thats why I like Niagara now, sort of like the app list you used to get on a Windows phone.

Windows Phone was a great OS but killed by the lack of apps on it. I still have one as an emergency phone in one of our cars until 3G gets turned off.
