andrewNZ: This appears to only be the AC cord (wall to figure 8 connector) for chargers with a removable AC cable, not the whole charger.

That's both reasonable and disappointing at the same time.

 

 

 

the only faulty part of the AC cord.  It has poor strain relief.

 

It’s a common industry problem.  Many OEMS have had similar issue with printers and laptops.

 

 

 

If your DC power adapter has failed, then can be replaced under warranty
